1. INTRODUCTION
The Casa d’Artistes Creation Centre is a project by FAR Cultural, an association that fosters the exchange of values and reflection through training, research, art and contemporary culture. This call aims to select creators to participate in the 2026 residencies for visual arts, performance, podcast creation, music and sound art. Submitted projects may be works-in-progress or new creations.
1.1. General requirements for participation
- Creators of legal age may participate.
- They must be able to provide an official invoice.
- They must be available for an online interview if requested by the organisation.
- Each candidate may apply for a maximum of two residencies in different fields, although they will only be eligible for one.
1.2. General commitments of the creator
- To use the residency for research and/or creation of the chosen project.
- To participate in an exhibition of the project in progress within the framework of the residency.
- To submit a brief report on the project developed.
- To comply with the agreed schedule.
- Authorise Es FAR Cultural to use your image and visual, audiovisual and/or audio documentation of your artistic work for non-commercial communication and dissemination purposes.
- To cite the support of Es FAR Cultural in all communication and dissemination activities related to the project developed during the residency and subsequent artistic career.
- The decision regarding this call for applications will be officially communicated by email. The creator undertakes to accept or reject this decision within a maximum period of 5 calendar days from the date of communication.
- The creator accepts the terms of this call for applications.
2. 2026 RESIDENCY PROGRAMME
All selected creators will have access to a workspace and support from the centre’s staff. Only creators residing outside the island of Menorca will have the following covered:
- A return trip from their usual place of residence within Europe. (For sustainability reasons, travel from Barcelona and Mallorca will be by boat).
- Accommodation at the creation centre.
- Travel and accommodation extras related to maternity (children under 3 years of age) may be covered.
These benefits are common to all 2026 residency programmes.
2.1. Illes d’Art Residency (visual arts)
Illes d’Art is Casa de Artistas’ embryonic project. Since 2015, nine editions have been held, involving more than 42 artists from across the Balearic Islands.
Two visual artists residing in the Balearic Islands will be selected, at least one of whom must be a resident of Menorca.
- Duration of the residency: 20 days, between 2 March and 10 May. The dates will be agreed with the organisation.
- Fees of €1,100.

- Artist’s dossier containing: artistic statement, career history and sample of recent work. (The file must be no more than 10 pages and 10 MB).
- Project idea to be developed, including: a brief description of the project to be developed, objectives to be achieved during the residency and a letter of motivation. (The file must be no longer than 3 pages, including visual documentation. The maximum file size is 10 MB).
- Copy of ID card or certificate of residence.
2.2. Performance residency (performance)
The Performance Residency is a project that forms part of the Performance Days, a programme that combines training, support for creation and the dissemination of action art and performance. This residency is designed for creators who are interested in participating in the training, although this is not compulsory.
Two artists will be selected. Preference will be given to at least one artist from the Balearic Islands.
- Duration of the residency: 20 days, between 4 May and 8 June. The dates will be agreed with the organisation.
- Training dates: 29 and 30 May (details to be confirmed).
- Fee of €900.

- Artist’s dossier containing: artistic statement, career history and samples of recent work. (The file must be no more than 10 pages and 10 MB).
- Project idea to be developed, including: a brief description of the project to be developed, objectives to be achieved during the residency and a letter of motivation. (The file must be no longer than 3 pages, including visual documentation. The maximum file size is 10 MB).
- For artists from the Balearic Islands: a copy of your ID card or certificate of residence.
2.3. Creation of a podcast in Catalan (radio culture)
The grant for the creation of a podcast in Catalan is a proposal linked to Ràdio Far, a collaborative radio station that offers cultural content in Catalan created in Menorca and with an island perspective. The finished podcast will be broadcast on Ràdio Far; the aim is to encourage research and the creation of cultural content in radio format that differs from its usual programming.
One creator will be selected, with creative and communication skills and basic knowledge of audio editing, with the aim of producing a creative podcast in the Catalan language. The organisation will propose a cultural theme as a starting point, from which the creator will have to develop a project. The Casa d’Artistes creation centre and Ràdio Far will offer basic training and support.
- Duration of the residency: 20 days, between 27 March and 12 May. The dates will be agreed with the organisation.
- The podcast is scheduled to be broadcast in early July 2026.
- Fee of €900.

- PDF document containing: CV, short letter of motivation and, if available, samples of radio programmes or podcasts in which you have participated. The file must be no more than 3 pages long and 1 MB in size.
2.4. Arts al Nord Residency (music and sound art)
The Arts al Nord Residency is part of the Arts al Nord performing arts cycle, a small-scale exhibition of performing arts in different cultural and public spaces in northern Menorca.
One artist or collective will be selected who uses sound as a tool for contemporary research and creation, whether in the production of music, experimental music, sound art or any hybridisation of disciplines where sound plays a leading role. The resulting project may also be broadcast on Ràdio Far.
- Duration of the residency: 20 days, between 6 and 29 June. The dates will be agreed with the organisation.
- Fees of €1,100.
