Blanca Alonso studied the career of Fine Arts between Madrid and Munich. His father is an illustrator, therefore she comes from a family in which children’s drawing and literature are part of her environment.
As an individual artist, Blanca Alonso has collaborated on stage, visual and installation projects in France, Holland and Luxembourg, on the innovative Nomadic Island project.
In 2009 he founded the company Coloradas in which she introduces projected illustrations she creates live. Coloradas creates a personal visual universe where drawing, shadows, objects, lights and everything that brings poetry, magic and that helps to create a more beautiful and humane world coexist.
It is more than ten years since Blanca Alonso formed this company, accompanied by other narrators, dancers, musicians and artists, who have been enriching and adding to the project. The company Coloradas has shown its work in many places such as Mallorca, Barcelona, Madrid, Germany, Holland, Italy, Colombia and Luxembourg. It has also participated in festivals in Spain such as FIET (Teresetes), Bòtil Prize (Mallorca), Pendientes de un Hilo (Madrid), Festitíteres (Alicante), Festival de la Lum (Sagunt), 21 distritos (Madrid) and Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro de Muñecos (Colombia).
The company’s last creation, Quitarse el Sombrero received a grant from the Instituto de la Mujer and it is part of the artistic residences program of the Teatre Principal in Mallorca.
