MARCO MANCONI

Marco Manconi, alias j-mve (class 1998), is a Sardinian musician and electronic music producer. Starting with a background as a guitarist, he later dedicated himself to exploring electronic music through daily practice with instruments such as electric guitar, synthesizers, and computers. Primarily active as a performer, he also engages in composition and, in 2020, composed the soundtrack for the short film S’Espropriu, directed by Emanuele Massa. During his studies, he discovered a particular interest in analog photography, which led him to experiment with new forms of expression and to seek a fusion with music that fully reflects the melancholic traits that have always characterized his works. In June 2022, he graduated in Sonology from the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague (Netherlands), where he refined his composition and sound design techniques.

MARTINO CORRIAS

Martino Corrias, born in Sardinia in 1999 and currently living in Bologna, is a musical artist who
combines natural and electronic sound elements. Classically trained, he progressively developed an
interest in electronic music, seeking to combine the natural qualities of wooden instruments and field
recordings with synthetic and metallic sounds, creating atmospheres typical of underground clubs. His style combines rave melodies with harder and more abrasive sounds. He composed the soundtrack for architect Francesco Careri’s hammock installation, and for visual artist Marco Loi’s Rural Queer exhibition. Together with director Martino Pinna, he is selected for the 4th edition of the video art festival Maratona Di Visione with the work Eadweard. In December 2023 he launches his first musical research project Quadri dell incomprensione. Currently, he collaborates with the playwright Simone Azzu in the audiovisual theatrical show Petter Prigioniero Politico, with which they are chosen as winners of the 23rd edition of the Cervi Award;, among others.
