Melmann explora aspectos sociales y po\u00e9ticos del sonido. En sus proyectos transdisciplinarios Melmann experimenta con tecnolog\u00eda, creando narrativas lineales y no lineales, trabajando en diferentes medios y soportes. Sus composiciones oscilan entre la m\u00fasica electroac\u00fastica, m\u00fasica generativa para ensambles, experimentos con sensores, hidr\u00f3fonos, sonificaci\u00f3n de datos, cartograf\u00edas sonoras, instalaciones, entrevistas y grabaciones de campo.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Melmann utiliza el sonido como materia prima para sus composiciones, creando piezas e instalaciones sonoras utilizando electr\u00f3nica, instrumentos no convencionales, grabaciones de campo y palabra hablada. Tambi\u00e9n ha producido m\u00fasica y dise\u00f1o sonoro para danza, videojuegos, televisi\u00f3n, cine y teatro. Activo desde hace m\u00e1s de 14 a\u00f1os, Melmann ha lanzado seis \u00e1lbumes y ha realizado giras por Asia, Europa, Am\u00e9rica del Norte y Sudam\u00e9rica . Ha mostrado su trabajo en numerosos venues y festivales, incluyendo el Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York , Victoria & Albert Museum (London), Potytech Museum (Moscow), SEMA (Seoul Museum of Art), MCA – Denver (Museum of Contemporary Art), Mutek Festival, S\u00f3nar Festival (Buenos Aires), Gamma Festival (St. Petersburg), entre otros.<\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n ha trabajado como comisario en \u201cLenguajes Sonoros\u201d y ha sido artista residente en la Red Bull Music Academy (Nueva York), ZKM – Zentrum F\u00fcr Kunst und Medien en AIR Lower Austria, STEIM (Holanda), Chateau Ephemere (Francia), entre otros. Ha ganado premios y reconocimientos, entre ellos el Virtual Partnership (Goethe Institut), National Arts Foundation (Argentina), Bienal de Kosice, Asylum Arts (Nueva York), y ha participado en proyectos educativos y talleres sobre nuevas m\u00fasicas y arte sonoro en Garrison Institute ( Nueva York), ZKM (Alemania), CMMAS (M\u00e9xico), Fundaci\u00f3n Telef\u00f3nica<\/p>\n
